Vacation With Katie

$0.00

Short Story (Humor)

Excerpt: “What am I?” Innar opened two eyes and realized he was lying on his back. It was a rather odd feeling. Focusing upward, he blinked and tried to discern the object directly above. It was square, opalescent and apparently some kind of light diffuser.“What is going on here?” he asked no one in particular. He moved and discovered digits at the end of long limbs. Innar stared at them a moment, snarled and sat bolt upright. Long hair washed over his face. Two objects pulled at his chest. He looked down and watched as they obediently followed his movements. He couldn’t figure out what they were. He pulled off the garment covering them and tossed it away. Eyes wide with identification, he bellowed, “these are for nursing young!” His shoulders sank. “They did it to me again. I’m a female.”He swung his legs, legs--not a good sign, over the edge of the soft platform and touched a textured base. Innar took inventory of this body and found the silver diamond-shaped communicator on the inside of the wrist. He reached over with the left hand and touched the diamond with long fingers. Hands! Someone was going to pay for this!“Yarm Communication Station, please hold.”
